The Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden will open new exhibits for the month. In the main gallery: recent works by David W. Jackson. The carriage house gallery will feature artist from the Holiday Invitation. A reception for the artists is November 4, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. Exhibits continue through November 28, 2011. Artist, Mary Wells will be teaching a Zentangling workshop at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden on Thursday, November 10th from 7 to 9 p.m. Zentangling is using simple repetitive patterns to create beautiful images while relaxing. Mad Science of Greater Salt Lake City will offer hands-on science workshops for students K through 6th at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden on the second Saturday of the month through May 2012. Mary Wells will hold a holiday card making the pochoir way at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden on Thursday, November 17th from 7 to 9 p.m. This workshop is for anyone ages 8 through adult. Beginning with a simple drawing, the pochoir technique will be used to print a series of cards. Pochoir is a multiple stencils process. Tuition: $22 includes basic supplies.
