Children ages 5 to 8 years old may create an art & craft project with the theme of a Thanksgiving Turkey at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden on Thursday, November 17th from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. Supplies provided. Mary Wells will hold a holiday card making the pochoir way at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden on Thursday, November 17th from 7 to 9 p.m. This workshop is for anyone ages 8 through adult. Beginning with a simple drawing, the pochoir technique will be used to print a series of cards. Pochoir is a multiple stencils process. Tuition: $22 includes basic supplies. The Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden will open new exhibits for the month. In the main gallery: recent works by Aaron Fritz. The carriage house gallery will feature artist from the Holiday Invitation. A reception for the artists is December 2, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. Exhibits continue through December 31, 2011. Artist Jackie Jones, will be teaching a beginning/intermediate daytime watercolor class at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden on Tuesday afternoons 1 to 3 p.m. December 6 through March 27, 2012 (class will not be held on December 20th or 27th). Jackie will provide supplies for the first class and recommend supplies for continuing. Monthly Tuition: $80. Daily/drop-in tuition: $23.
